ABOUT ME
I loved writing and drawing as a child, but I could never decide which I loved most! Some days I dreamed of becoming an artist, other days I wanted to be an author.

I studied English and Fine Art at university, so a career with words and pictures was always on the cards! However, the plot took an unexpected twist when I was scouted at Glastonbury festival and (accidentally) became an international fashion model instead!
As soon as I graduated, I moved to London and spent the next decade striding down runways, flying off to photo shoots and appearing on billboards for brands like Gucci, Garnier and Gap. It was a brilliant way to see the world, if not always the most creatively fulfilling career...​

I started to realise that I had more to say behind the camera! So, I enrolled at Central Saint Martin's, where I trained as a photographer. I went on to exhibit my pinhole photographs in galleries all over the world.
After having children, I decided I wanted to work a little nearer to home, so I went back to univeristy for the third time and qualified as an art teacher (I still teach today!). And, finally, I began writing again.

I was lucky enough to sign with my brilliant literary agent in 2021, and my debut novel came out in 2023 with another book soon after.
I now live happily with my family in Bath – a city with many literary connections! – where I work from my studio at the bottom of the garden, always making things, and dreaming up ideas for novels with a little help from Misty, my cat.
